• Dr. Ping JIN is currently a Senior Research Scientist of the
  Ultrafine Particle Laboratory (UPL)
  Multifunctional Material Science Department (MMS)
  National Industrial Research Institute of Nagoya (NIRIN)
  Agency of Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)
  Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)

• He was born in Sichuan, China. He received the B.E. degree in 1982, and had been an research associate in Northwest Institute of Light Industry until 1986. He obtained the M.S. degree in Material Science and Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology (NIT) in 1989 and 1992, respectively. He has been in the present position in NIRIN since 1992.

• He was a Visiting Senior Research Scientist in 1997 in Thin Film Physics Devision, Department of Physics, (Linkoping University), Sweden
